OutLoud — Medical icon

The medication reminder that actually fires.

Most reminder apps go quiet exactly when it matters — silenced by battery savers, lost after a restart, swiped away and forgotten. OutLoud — Medical is engineered like an alarm clock, speaks to you in a natural voice, and shows you the proof.

Coming soon to Google Play In closed testing · No ads, ever · Your medication list stays on your phone

Built for the people other apps leave behind: older adults, low-vision users, and phones with aggressive battery management.

🔈

It speaks

At dose time your phone wakes and speaks — your name, the medication, the dose — in a warm, natural voice. No reading glasses, no unlocking, no tiny grey text. Three medications at 8 AM means one calm message, not three alarms in a row.

You confirm

One tap marks the dose taken, from the notification or the alarm screen. The reminder stays visible until you do — it cannot be lost by accident.

📣

It escalates

No confirmation? It speaks again. Still nothing? A full-screen alarm takes over the lock screen with one large button. How fast it climbs follows each medication's criticality — minutes for a heart medication, gentler for a multivitamin.

👤

Someone else knows

If a dose stays unconfirmed past its grace period, a family member you choose gets a text — in minutes, not hours. Nothing to install on their phone.

Proof of delivery

Other apps ask you to trust that the reminder happened. OutLoud shows you. Every event — scheduled, fired, repeated, confirmed, missed, delivered late — is recorded with a timestamp, in plain language: “fired 8:00 AM · confirmed taken 8:04”. If your phone blocked a reminder, the timeline says so, in those words. One tap turns that history into a PDF a doctor or pharmacist can read across a desk.

Verify, don't promise

During setup the app schedules a spoken test reminder a minute out and asks you to lock your phone. It should wake the screen and speak, locked. If your phone blocks it, you get a fix written for your exact device — not a shrug. A background watchdog keeps checking afterwards, because a phone that works today can be told to kill the app tomorrow.

What it costs

Your reminder always fires, free, forever. Reminding you to take your medication is the whole point of the app, and it is not something we will ever charge you for.
